FLY WITH KITES

FLY WITH KITES

Fly With the Kites

A possible scenario..: You want to do a creative project, so you discuss it with people who just don’t get it. They want to be supportive but in the back of their minds think you have lost your mind. It’s okay– it’s totally not their fault. And it’s not your fault that you want to do certain things. It’s just the way you are wired. (Notice how this spells weird if certain letters are moved around?)

Start discussing these things with ONLY the ones who understand your vision and feelings. If you are truly worried about offending others, find things in common with the people mentioned in paragraph 1, and discuss topics based on what they know, like and understand. Then find other creative friends to talk to about your higher aspirations. Finally, dream away!

A different scenario… (which I tend towards) is to not discuss things at all. This can be a double edged sword. First of all, your dreams are a lot to keep in your head, and second of all, you have to give people a chance. My biggest personal lesson is to trust more. Partnerships are important and the faster you figure that out, the better off things will go for you.
