HI Friends! Welcome to Neena Expressions! Here’s what we’re currently up to:

As an artist and educator born and raised in Denver, Colorado, I believe beauty is everywhere! My eclectic-themed art displays itself in many forms: innovative teaching methods, performance art, fashion consulting and music collaboration.

News
I hope you’ve had a wonderful 2016! This has been an amazing year of cultivating new relationships and deepening the ones that are already so dear to my heart!

Wellness

Do you or someone you know need ongoing support for overcoming/transforming food addictions? I would love to be a resource for you!

I have spent much time concentrating on the area of wellness this last couple year. More recently, I’ve increased my fitness routine to include more than dance and yoga. I am transforming my relationship with food. Through the process of logging food and exercise in an online diary, I can clearly see what I’m ingesting, how it makes me feel and helps me to better plan my day. Through this experimentation with food journal and exercise I have taught myself to transform food addiction. Allowing instead of prohibiting foods. I’m learning how to eat for pleasure and nourishment, remove negative feelings associated with foods and dismantle self judgment in all areas of my life. This is something that I’ve wanted to help people with for quite some time.

This upcoming year I will offer speaking engagements, workshops performance art and presentations all designed to uplift and inspire YOU! Please stay tuned!

My intention for these events is to offer new and personal expressions to uplift the heart, body, mind and soul.

Performance Art
Performance art is one of my areas of focus. Raven Speaks is my soulful spiritual expression. I also perform traditional Bharatnatyam for special events.

I design performance art pieces to inspire and uplift others!

I am currently working on two new pieces; Untitled I, which deals with spirit, fluidity and etheREALITIES. The musical style that will be incorporated is unique to Raven Speaks performance art. More details to follow!

The other piece is called Echo s p a c e, which will be performed later this spring. It’s general theme intertwines technology and nature and will take place in a stunning outdoor setting!

Collaborations

I’m working with two amazing musicians for both Raven Speaks pieces and I feel truly blessed. Yonbre is an electronic musician producing Echo S p a c e. R Hendrix is a violist arranging and performing Untitled I with me. We have a private performance scheduled for January for Untitled I, and a more public performance will take place in late winter/early spring 2017.

Education
Educators, I want to help you create inspired learners in your classroom!

I’m a Certified Montessori Teacher for Elementary students. My licenses are in the areas of General and Special Education.
Creative and innovative education is my passion. I teach children’s music and movement alongside the rigorous academic curriculum taught in the classroom, I am a Montessori Education Specialist and Chorale Director for Unity in Unison at Escuela Tlatelolco.

Educational Seminars

I had an amazing opportunity to conduct a national performance art workshop for Montessori educators last month in Portland, Oregon. The Montessori educators were greatly motivated participants!

Fashion Consulting

I want to help women feel good in what they’re wearing.

I design garments for Raven speaks performance art. I can help guide you through the process of designing your own garment. Please contact me if you are interested.

Going further, I can help you with closet reorganization, understand the emotional connection to clothing that you may have, and discard clothing that no longer feels good. It’s an emotional journey well worth taking because when you feel good, you have a wonderful day, which leads to an amazing life.
